The Marvels travelled to Hindley Town this morning and went down to a narrow defeat in a much improved display compared to last weeks game.

Each player played their hearts out and we fashioned chance after chance hitting the crossbar and post twice.

Our first goal came from the left hand side around half way when Jack drew in 2 or 3 players and played a well weighted ball for the ever busy Riley to finish into the corner. Unfortunately 3 minutes later the home team responded with a nice finish past our brave goalie Taylor

Our second goal again came from the left, Jack beat his man with some quick feet and played a magnificent ball across goal taking out the defenders and goalie for Alex to finish at the back post.

Again we conceded immediately after some confusion with a dropped ball the lads switched off and the opponents bundled home.

Late goals from the home team after a couple of goalmouth scrambles meant the boys didn’t get what they deserved this week.

A much improved performance with a magnificent effort from each player. The boys will get their rewards soon. Keep it up!
